1) Arrive relaxed and on time
Get a good night's sleep before D-Day and arrive looking relaxed for your photoshoot.
If you're the party type, it's best to sacrifice the previous day's outing in favour of a night out with a mask, herbal tea and a good night's sleep!
It is also important to arrive on time on the day of the shoot. This will allow you to establish a good relationship with the photographer from the outset and also, and this is not negligible, to take advantage of the totality of the time allotted for your photo shoot. The photographer may indeed have another photo shoot scheduled right after you. Don't run to be on time, always plan a safety margin especially if you come from far away, it will take away some stress.
2) Prepare your poses and have a positive state of mind
Stay open to the photographer's proposals. He's there to show you off and only he can see what's going on in the lens. Trust him and everything will be fine ;-) Of course if you have ideas in mind, don't hesitate to talk to him, it will be beneficial for the photo session.
3) Choosing the right outfits
The photoshoot lasts only 30 minutes, so it goes by very quickly! We therefore advise you to plan changes only for the upper body.
Changing your sweater/jacket during the shooting or providing different accessories (glasses, hats, rings...etc) will allow you to change your style in a few seconds.
Example: Quickly switch from a "professional CV" type photo to a series of images for your Instagram with more casual clothes.
4) Communicate with the photographer
The secret is the switch! Discuss, ask questions, it will help you break the ice. Don't hesitate to communicate your needs:
- Do you want to have beautiful pictures to boost your meetings on Tinder, Happn or Meetic?
- Your goal is to make your Instagram profile more qualitative?
- You are an actor and you want to improve your portfolio?
- You want to gain confidence thanks to photo shooting?
- You want to surprise your boyfriend/girlfriend by organizing a photo shoot in Paris?
- You want beautiful photos with your family? as a couple?
Each photoshoot is different. Each person has specific needs and we listen carefully to all your requests.
5) Letting loose
Being in front of the goal for the first time is not easy. A piece of advice: Be yourself, relax, everything will go well, I promise :)
It's all in the eyes! Think about positive things, a friend's laugh, your lover's smile, grandma's gratin, uncle Jean-Pierre's jokes...etc...
And rest assured the photographer in front of you will not be a beginner. We select for you professionals, talented and pedagogical, used to any kind of profile and any kind of request, so no stress to have. One last thing, treat yourself, you'll see it makes all the difference ;-)
After all these precious advices, I think there is only one thing left for you to do!
